CPA Donation Supports PPE Effort

CPA Donation Supports PPE Effort

Due to COVID-19, demand for PPE (personal protective equipment) has sky-rocketed. Luckily Jim Reynolds, a Channel Prime Alliance Product Manager, was watching the news at the right time and saw a story about Unique Software Development. Dallas based Unique Software Development is stepping up to help during the COVID-19 pandemic by using their 3D printers to print 3D respirator masks. Reynolds reached out to USD immediately and asked what Channel Prime Alliance could do to help.

CPA is partners with Jabil, a US-based contract manufacturing company. CPA provides distribution services for Jabil’s growing line of 3D printing products. After discussions with Matt O’Brien, owner of Unique Software Development, Reynolds agreed to donate 200 spools of filament to the cause on behalf of Channel Prime Alliance. These spools will allow USD to produce 3200 re-usable masks.

These masks are being given away for free to Dallas-Fort Worth hospitals, police departments and nursing homes. Baylor Scott & White, Parkland Hospital, Methodist Healthcare, Medical City, Dallas Fire-Rescue, Dallas Police Department and Sunnyvale Police Department are just a few locations that have begun to receive these donations.
